The Hydrotech 33138 is the compatible replacement for the Hydrotech 40600006 Flow Control and can be used in the following models:

The Hydrotech Flow Control Retrofit Kit 33138 – 50 GPD replaces the Hydrotech 40600007 45 GPM flow control and updates the old drain line flow control of these systems with one similar to the new Hydrotech 1240 RO Systems. This flow control kit should be matched with RO membranes with a 50 gallon per day capacity, such as the Hydrotech 33001033 TFC 50 GPD Membrane. If you have any of the discontinued RO systems and are using the 40600006 flow control, you will need to update to the 33138 retrofit kit and move from a 35 gpd membrane to a 50 gpd membrane.

Once you’ve installed the Hydrotech Retrofit Kit, you will later only need to purchase the 40600041 Water Flow Restrictor, which should be changed each time you change your reverse osmosis membrane. The flow restrictor creates pressure through the RO membrane so as to keep a proper balance between the rejected water and the filtered water.

The Retrofit Kit includes a flow control tube and a flow control retrofit plug.
