The Hydronix SDC-25-4005 40″ Sediment Filter Cartridge is an economical replacement for the Liquatec SDF-25-4005 Filter. Also known as part number SDC-25-4005, this Hydronix 5 micron water filter has 4 separate layers of micron filtration and the outside-in flow allows the outer layer of this sediment depth cartridge to trap larger sized particles, resulting in a lower pressure drop. It is resistant to chemicals and reduces waterborne contaminants like silt, rust, sand and sediment. Constructed with 100% polypropylene, the Hydronix 40″ sediment filter is ideal for a wide range of residential, industrial, commercial and food service applications.
The Hydronix SDC-25-4005 filter is tested and certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 42 for material requirements only. This filter is widely used as pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters, also known as GAC filters. The graded density of this Hydronix filter provides higher dirt holding capacity than standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. The temperature capacity range for this 5 micron filter is 40 degrees to 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
